I hope you find all the information in the following site very helpful.
Some dates may be wrong and some names may be misspelled. This site was made
to see our rich history in the Naylor Family from London, England to North
Carolina. Many Naylor's fought in wars such as the Civil War, WW I and WW II. I have put in over 10
years of research. As you will see most of the Naylor's in North Carolina came from Sampson County
which began with man named Abraham Naylor who came over in the early 1790's on a slave ship that
docked in Wilmington, North Carolina. Once in the new land he met up with several local settlers
where he traveled inland to their home nearNewton Grove, North Carolina. Once there he met Anne
Nanny Lee. He fell in love with his new place so he traveled back to England to gather up his
belongings and came back to the Americas to start a new life where he married Anne Nanny Lee. The
first record is a land grant in 1796 that was given to him. So we know that he settled in North
Carolina between 1790 and 1796. I gathered information from sources such as social security index,
death records, census records, birth certificates, death certificates, family bibles and many
visits to cemeteries throughout North Carolina. Enjoy the site.
